The following are some of the areas in which Ussoforal works with the community to promote a healthy and positive environment for its vulnerable children: ➢ Neighborhood clean-up to combat the spread of malaria and cholera ➢ Counseling regarding the prevention of HIV/AIDS and other sexually transmitted infections ➢ Counseling regarding unplanned pregnancies and birth spacing ➢ Creation of a day care center ➢ Literacy training for adults and out-of-school youths ➢ Sewing classes and tailoring training ➢ Home economics and cooking classes ➢ Painting and sculpture classes ➢ Theater presentations in community centers and schools (pertaining to health-related topics, and domestic violence, in particular violence against children) ➢ Acquisition of school supplies for needy children ➢ Dissemination of children’s rights |
